A Work in Progress
A Labor of Love

This in-progress coffee table book has been in the works for several years. The working title is Parked Portraits of San Francisco. Vivienne started it the first year that she started taking photos of cars because she had a sense that a beautifully printed, hardcover coffee table book was the eventual and ideal format for her obsession.

When complete, it will essentially be a collective portrait of the creative people who live in San Francisco—of how they think, what they value and how they imprint their identities on their environment. The story that emerges through these photos is about life in this colorful city; it’s about design and the everyday beauty of urban landscapes; and it’s a celebration of all those who let passion win over pragmatism.

What’s Next

Vivienne is currently seeking a writing collaborator. She has a concept for the written portion of the content and she has started writing, however she knows her limits. So she’s looking for a writing collaborator using the following criteria: a writer who has a love for San Francisco, both past and present; who loves vintage cars; and who would be interested in and excited about interviewing car owners. Please contact her if you believe you are this person.
